They both have their good points.  Takumi was willing to recognize the kid as his, support her and hte baby and even marry her. Not many men would do that after knocking a woman up. But I think he was doing it on a "business" standpoint. He treats everything as a business.  He might be able to keep Hachi comfortable, but would he make her happy? I don't think so. .  She was trying to hide her relationship with him from everyone and after she hadn't heard from him, she was actually fine with it b/c she wanted to move on.

And for Nobu, he was in love with her.  You can tell some scenes if you watch carefully, even before he told her, thyat he loved her.  He wants to make her happy and he said he felt like he could do anything with her.  I think those feeligns never died away because In the future episode, she looks so miserable, especially when Nobu grabs her hand.  Now I bet he feels close to helpless without her.  In the future episode, she looks so miserable, especially when Nobu grabs her hand
